How to create a new task

  1. Login to your account
  2. Navigate using the left-hand sidebar which shows the different feature headings, and click on the heading “Work” and then click “Tasks”.

  3. Once you have selected the “Tasks” option, you will be redirected to the Projects list. Once here, you can now view all tasks created.
    1. You can alternatively create tasks from within a project by navigating you way to the “Projects” page under “Work”. From within the project page, you will find a tab for tasks, where new tasks can be added directly to the project form within the project. Click here to learn more about how to add tasks from within the project.
  • You will be redirected to the tasks list page, where you can view all tasks that have been created and filter between them using the pop out filter on the left of the screen.
  • Next you will need to click the “New Task” button in the top right corner.
  • You will then be redirected to the new task form, where you can fill in all the information around the new task. Make sure you include the title, start date, due date and who you want to assign the task to.
  • You can add a task to a project by selecting the project you want to add the task to under the “Project” option.

  • You can choose to make the task private by clicking the “Make Private” tick box.

  • Save the task.
  1. Congratulations! You have created a new task and will be redirected back to the tasks list page, where you should be able to see your newly created task.

How to add a new category

  1. From the “Task” list page, you can click the button in the top right corner that says “Task Category”.
  2. Once you have selected this you will be presented with a popup giving you the option to add a new category name. Once you have added the name you can then save it and your new category has been added.

How to view only pinned tasks

  1. From the “Task” list page, you can click the button in the top right corner that says “Pinned Tasks”.
  2. You will then be presented with a list of pinned tasks.

How to view your tasks in a calendar

  1. Navigate using the left-hand sidebar which shows the different feature headings, and click on the heading “Work” and then click “Tasks calendar”.
  • You will then be presented with a calendar that shows all your tasks. You will also be able to create a task form within this view by clicking the “Task” button in the top right corner of the screen.

How to view your tasks as a Kanban board

  1. Navigate using the left-hand sidebar which shows the different feature headings, and click on the heading “Work” and then click “Tasks board”.
  • You will then be presented with a calendar that shows all your tasks. You will also be able to create a task form within this view by clicking the “Task” button in the top right corner of the screen.
  • You will have the option to filter your tasks, add a column to the Knaban board or add a task category by clicking the buttons in the top section to the right of the screen.
  • You can select the “Public Task Board”, which will redirect you to the task board that you can send to your clients to view or add as a link in an email for that task board.
  • You can drag and drop tasks between different columns by clicking and dragging them.
